A car struck a Marco Island building on North Collier Boulevard, sending one person to the hospital while two others were treated at the scene

A vehicle struck the front of a building in a parking lot in the 260 block of North Collier Boulevard on Marco Island, WINK News reported, citing Marco Island Police and Fire Rescue.

Three people were inside the vehicle. One was taken to a hospital for further evaluation, while the other two were treated and released at the scene, according to the report. The agencies said the building appeared to have minor damage.

WINK reported that crews remained at the scene late Saturday and were investigating what led to the crash. The report does not identify the building, the people in the vehicle or a cause.

Marco Island had not posted a separate public incident notice. No road closure or public safety order was announced.
