The National Weather Service has extended its Coastal Flood Statement for coastal Collier County through noon Monday.

Forecasters expect isolated minor coastal flooding around high tide. Some water could reach low-lying roads and property.

The previous statement was scheduled to end at noon Sunday. The new alert extends the flooding window by one day.

Drivers should not enter flooded roads. Water depth and road damage can be difficult to judge from inside a vehicle.
