The National Weather Service has extended its High Surf Advisory for coastal Lee County through 8 p.m. Saturday.
The advisory covers large breaking waves and dangerous rip currents. The related rip current risk continues through Sunday evening. Inexperienced swimmers should stay out of the water, the agency says.
A separate Coastal Flood Statement for coastal Collier County now runs through noon Sunday. Forecasters expect isolated minor flooding, with some water possible on low-lying roads and property.
The earlier alerts ended Saturday morning. Drivers should not enter flooded roads.
