Bonita Springs will move traffic to the south side of East Terry Street between Imperial Parkway and Interstate 75 beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, according to the city's East Terry Street construction notice.
When East Terry Street shifts
The city's contractor, Quality Enterprises USA, Inc., will place barrels and restripe the roadway overnight. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic, and directional signs will be posted along Imperial Parkway and East Terry Street.
Bonita Springs expects the setup to finish early Wednesday, October 7, before the morning peak travel period.
Will East Terry Street remain open?
East Terry Street will remain open to through traffic during the shift. The city does not list a detour or a full closure, but drivers should expect a changing lane pattern and workers in the corridor overnight.
Why traffic is moving south
The shift clears the north side of the right-of-way for upcoming stormwater, water and wastewater improvements. The city notice does not give a completion date for the larger utility work.
