Flood advisory runs until 6 p.m. for Naples, Golden Gate and west-central Collier County
A National Weather Service flood advisory covers west-central Collier County until 6 p.m. Tuesday. Naples, Golden Gate Estates, Golden Gate, Vineyards, East Naples, North Naples, Naples Park, the west toll plaza on Alligator Alley and Pelican Bay are among the locations named.

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for west-central Collier County at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday. It runs until 6 p.m.
Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain had fallen when the advisory was issued. The Weather Service said minor flooding was underway or could begin shortly, with water collecting in low lying and poor drainage areas.
The advisory names Naples, Golden Gate Estates, Golden Gate, Vineyards, East Naples, North Naples, Naples Park, the west toll plaza on Alligator Alley and Pelican Bay.
The rainfall assessment came from Doppler radar and automated rain gauges. No road closure, rescue, injury or property damage is reported in the alert.
Drivers should not enter a road covered by water.
