Cape Coral opened two precautionary boil water areas Thursday morning after water main breaks, one near 906 Country Club Boulevard and another near 801 SW 51st Terrace. The city later lifted two older notices, leaving three areas active. Residents inside either new mapped boundary should bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute before using it for drinking, cooking or other consumption, or use bottled water.

The city's live water notice map places one area near 906 Country Club Boulevard and the other near 801 SW 51st Terrace. Both records identify drinking water as affected and carry no rescission date.
What residents in the mapped areas should do
Bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, preparing drinks or other consumption. Bottled water is an alternative.
Cape Coral says showering and laundry are not restricted by a precautionary boil water notice. The city publishes mapped boundaries rather than street lists or household counts, so nearby residents should check the map to see whether either area covers their property.
Three Cape Coral boil water areas are active
The city lifted two older notices Thursday morning, near 715 SE 34th Street at 8:26 a.m. and 1829 SE 21st Terrace at 8:31 a.m.
The two new records and the 142 SE 15th Place notice are the three areas that remain active.
