The city lists the area as affecting drinking water. Its live record carries no rescission date, which means the notice remains active.
What residents should do
Bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute before drinking it, cooking with it, making ice, preparing drinks or baby bottles, rinsing food, brushing teeth or washing dishes. Bottled water is an alternative.
Cape Coral says a precautionary notice does not necessarily mean the water is contaminated. Showering and laundry are not restricted.
The city publishes a mapped boundary rather than a street list or household count. Anyone near 2007 SE 13th Street should check the city map to see whether the notice covers the property.
Two other Cape Coral notices remain active, one near 419 SW 52nd Street and another near 2614 SW Santa Barbara Place.
