Cape Coral adds boil water areas near SW Santa Barbara Place and SE 27th Terrace

Cape Coral has added precautionary boil water areas near 2614 SW Santa Barbara Place and 129 SE 27th Terrace after water main breaks. Residents inside either mapped boundary should bring tap water used for consumption to a rolling boil for one minute, or use bottled water.

The City of Cape Coral lists two additional precautionary boil water areas after separate water main breaks.

The city's live water notice map places the newest area near 2614 SW Santa Barbara Place. The city record says it began at about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday. A second area near 129 SE 27th Terrace began at about 2:48 p.m. Monday and remains active.

Both records identify drinking water as affected and carry no rescission date.

What residents in the mapped areas should do

Bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, preparing drinks or other consumption. Bottled water is an alternative.

Cape Coral publishes mapped boundaries rather than household lists. Nearby residents should check the map to see whether either notice covers their property.
