Three Oaks Parkway extension to Daniels Parkway opens November 2, more than a year ahead of the original contract date
The new section of Three Oaks Parkway in Lee County, which crosses the Fiddlesticks Canal to reach Daniels Parkway, opens to drivers after a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting on Monday, November 2, 2026. The county says the project is substantially ahead of a mid-2028 contract date, with final completion scheduled for early 2027.

The extension of Three Oaks Parkway across the Fiddlesticks Canal to Daniels Parkway opens to traffic on Monday, November 2, after a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting, according to a Lee County Government news release issued October 19.
The ceremony takes place on Three Oaks Parkway just south of the new Fiddlesticks Boulevard intersection, with remarks from Lee County commissioners. The county asks attendees to follow event and parking signs, encourages people in nearby neighborhoods to walk or bike in, and plans to stream it on its YouTube and Facebook channels.
What the Three Oaks Parkway extension adds
The new section is a four-lane divided road with two 11-foot travel lanes in each direction, a 5-foot bike lane and a 6-foot sidewalk on each side, and a median between 14 and 18 feet wide. A new roundabout at Fiddlesticks Boulevard and Old Fiddlesticks Boulevard handles access to the Publix shopping center.
The county describes the extension as the piece that completes the Three Oaks Parkway corridor: a major arterial running from Daniels Parkway south through the Village of Estero, the City of Bonita Springs and into Collier County, meant to take north and south traffic off Interstate 75. Commissioners ranked it a Tier 1 capital project.
When the work around Daniels Parkway finishes
The road opens on November 2, but construction does not end that day. The county lists two pieces still to come. The intersection of Three Oaks Parkway and Palomino Lane at Daniels Parkway is complete only after restriping. Daniels Parkway has been widened to eight lanes between Danport Boulevard and Apaloosa Lane and Powers Court, but all eight lanes open only after final paving and striping.
The original construction contract set completion for mid-2028. The county now says the project is substantially ahead of that schedule, with final completion in early 2027.
Earlier coverage of the corridor includes the August traffic shift and Old Fiddlesticks Boulevard closure. More road and growth news for the area is on the Fort Myers and Estero pages, including the separate Corkscrew Road Phase 2 project.
