SR-82 crash at Griffin Drive closed westbound lanes Friday, Lee sheriff reported

Westbound State Road 82 traffic was shut down at Griffin Drive in Lee County after a crash Friday, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office. The Gulf Coast News Digital Team also reported the closure in its Friday traffic bulletin.

The office's October 16 traffic advisory said deputies were working at the intersection and all westbound lanes were closed. It asked motorists to avoid the area and take another route.

The notice gave no reopening time. It also supplied no injury count or cause. This is a recap of Friday's reported restriction, not a notice of an active closure Sunday.
