A roadblock is active at Nicholas Parkway East and Santa Barbara Boulevard in Cape Coral after a patrol car crash Thursday evening, according to the Florida Highway Patrol's live incident board.

The patrol received the call at 6.56 p.m., dispatched a unit at 6.57 p.m. and recorded an arrival at 7.02 p.m. The state record still listed a roadblock in the intersection when the newsroom checked it directly at 7.10 p.m.

The public record gives no injury information, vehicle count or cause. It does not identify which agency operates the patrol car, and it gives no detour or estimated clearing time.
