A fire in pool heating equipment beside a Marco Island home was held off the house itself, and Marco Island Fire Rescue had it out in about fifteen minutes

A fire in pool heating equipment beside a Marco Island home was kept from reaching the house on Monday evening, WINK News reported.

Marco Island Fire Rescue was called to the 600 block of Inlet Drive at about 6 p.m. Crews arrived to find flames consuming pool heating equipment next to the residence, and quickly extinguished them and prevented them from spreading to the home, according to the station, which attributes the account to the Marco Island Police Department.

The fire was out in roughly fifteen minutes. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.

The cause is under investigation.
