Thursday's Lee County flood advisories covered Cape Coral, Fort Myers and the beaches before expiring
The National Weather Service issued two flood advisories for parts of Lee County Thursday. One covered Bonita Springs, Fort Myers Beach, Estero and nearby areas until 5:15 p.m. A later advisory covered Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sanibel and other communities until 6 p.m. Both expired.

Two National Weather Service flood advisories covered parts of Lee County Thursday afternoon and evening. Both have expired.
The first advisory covered Bonita Springs, Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Beach, Three Oaks, San Carlos Park, Lovers Key and Estero until 5:15 p.m. The Weather Service said up to two inches of rain had fallen and another one to two inches were possible.
A later advisory included Cape Coral and Fort Myers
The second National Weather Service advisory covered Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sanibel, Lehigh Acres and several nearby communities until 6 p.m.
That alert said up to 2.5 inches of rain had fallen and another one to two inches were expected. Both alerts classified the expected flooding as minor.
No Lee or Collier alert remained active Friday night
A closing check of current Weather Service alerts found none touching Lee or Collier counties. Standing water can remain after an alert ends. Drivers should not enter water covering a road because its depth and the condition of the pavement can be difficult to judge.
