Gulf Coast News, in an item by producer Spencer Schenkel stamped 3.49 a.m., reported that officers were working the crash on Veterans Parkway between Southwest 20th Avenue and Chiquita Boulevard, and that the investigation was blocking the parkway in both directions.

That is the whole of what has been said. No driver has been named, no vehicle described, no cause given and no injury reported. The outlet said it would report if there are injuries in the crash. Nothing here attributes fault or conduct to anyone, because nobody in a position to know has stated any.

The location makes it more than a routine closure.
