The city's live utilities records moved the area from the active list to the rescinded list at 10:13 a.m. The notice followed a water main break recorded Friday.
Residents inside that former mapped area no longer need to boil tap water under this notice.
The all-clear is limited to this area
The rescission applies to the area near 4612 SW 3rd Avenue. It is not a citywide all-clear. Cape Coral still lists seven active precautionary boil water areas, and residents outside this area should check the city's current map before changing their precautions.
The city publishes a mapped boundary rather than a household count or street list, so the map remains the reliable way to determine which homes were covered.
