Cape Coral put the SW 11th Avenue boil water area back on its active map under a new city record

In short

Cape Coral again lists a precautionary boil water area around 4932 SW 11th Avenue after the earlier city record disappeared without a documented rescission. The replacement record says a water main break affects drinking water and carries no rescission date.

The City of Cape Coral again lists a precautionary boil water area around 4932 SW 11th Avenue after the earlier city record disappeared without a documented rescission.

The replacement record says a water main break affects drinking water and carries no rescission date. The city map now treats the area as active.

What residents should do

Bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute before drinking it, cooking with it, making ice, preparing drinks or baby bottles, rinsing food, brushing teeth or washing dishes. Bottled water is an alternative.

Cape Coral publishes a mapped boundary rather than a street list or household count. Anyone near 4932 SW 11th Avenue should check the city map to see whether the notice covers the property.

The replacement record does not provide a reliable interruption time because its timestamp and separate hour fields conflict. The notice remains active until the city posts a rescission.
