The City of Cape Coral lifted two precautionary boil water notices Sunday morning, clearing the former mapped areas near 612 SE 1st Avenue and 1221 SW 52nd Street.

The SW 52nd Street notice was rescinded at 9:04 a.m. The SE 1st Avenue notice followed at 9:08 a.m. Both had been issued after water main breaks Thursday.

Residents inside those two former areas no longer need to boil tap water under the rescinded notices.

Two newer notices remain active

The rescissions are not a citywide all clear. Cape Coral still lists two active precautionary boil water areas, one near 1829 SE 21st Terrace and another near 715 SE 34th Street.

Residents near either active area should continue to follow the boil water precautions and check the city map to see whether the mapped boundary covers their home or business.
