Cape Coral's active boil-water notice map lists a precautionary advisory area near 3722 SE 12th Ave. after a water main break.

The notice is active.

The city record says the water interruption began at 4 p.m. Thursday. It does not give a customer count or a street-by-street boundary, so residents should check the city's mapped area and any direct notice they received.

Cape Coral advises affected customers to bring water to a rolling boil for one minute before drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes. Bottled water can be used instead. The precaution does not restrict showering or laundry.

The notice stays in effect until testing clears the water and the city posts a rescission.
