Cape Coral says properties on both sides of Cape Coral Parkway between Palm Tree Boulevard and Chiquita Boulevard may have little to no water pressure Saturday, according to the city's October 1 notice.
The work is scheduled from about 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The city will lower pressure at the South Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant and Palm Tree pump station while crews make repairs.
Customers within the planned shutdown area should expect no pressure for most of the day. Properties outside that area should retain service, though pressure may be reduced. The city says those outside the shutdown area will not be under a boil-water notice.
Residents and businesses in the affected area should plan ahead and use bottled water if needed. If a boil-water notice becomes necessary, the city says it will apply only to customers within the specific shutdown area and those customers will be notified directly.
