Cape Coral lifts the Country Club Boulevard and SW 11th Avenue boil water notices; two newer areas remain active

The City of Cape Coral lifted two precautionary boil water notices Friday morning, clearing the former mapped areas near Country Club Boulevard and 4932 SW 11th Avenue.

The SW 11th Avenue notice was rescinded at 8:31 a.m. The Country Club Boulevard notice followed at 8:37 a.m. Both notices had been issued after water main breaks.

Residents inside those two former areas no longer need to boil tap water under the rescinded notices.

Two newer notices remain active

The rescissions are not a citywide all clear. Cape Coral still lists two active precautionary boil water areas, one near 612 SE 1st Avenue and another near 1221 SW 52nd Street.

Residents near either active area should continue to follow the boil water precautions and check the city map to see whether the mapped boundary covers their home or business.
