Cape Coral advises affected customers to bring water to a rolling boil for one minute before drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes. Bottled water can be used instead. The precaution does not restrict laundry.
The notices stay in effect until testing clears the water and the city posts rescissions.
