A water main break has put an area near 3744 SE 1st Avenue in Cape Coral under a precautionary boil water notice, according to the city utility map. The city added the area Tuesday, October 13, and had recorded no rescission by midday.

The address identifies the advisory area on the map, rather than every affected property. Nearby customers should check their address against the mapped boundary.

Cape Coral directs affected customers to bring water for consumption to a rolling boil for one minute or use bottled water until the notice is lifted. A precautionary notice does not itself establish that the water is contaminated.
