Lee County deputies spent part of the night at a house on Welborn Road in North Fort Myers, a short residential road off Nalle Grade Road, working a call for a reported shooting.
One person was treated for minor injuries. That figure and that description come from the Lee County Sheriff's Office, which confirmed to Gulf Coast News that deputies had responded to a call for a reported shooting and that one person was treated. It is the only thing the agency has said about the call.
Gulf Coast News, which put its report up at 6.45 on Monday morning and updated it at 9.15, reports that deputies investigated through the early hours and that video from the scene shows them searching the property with flashlights, spending time on an area near a shed. WINK News followed at 9.52 with the same core fact, one person treated for minor injuries after a shooting at a home on Welborn Road, and with the line that authorities have called this an active investigation and that no further information has been made available.
The two accounts date the event slightly differently. WINK places it on Sunday; Gulf Coast News describes it as overnight with deputies working into early Monday. Both fit a single event that began Sunday night and ran past midnight. Neither outlet gives a clock time, and none is offered here.
Beyond that, almost nothing is public. The Sheriff's Office has not said what led to the call, how many people were there, or whether anyone is being sought. No arrest has been announced. Nobody has been named and nobody has been accused of anything. The agency has published no statement of its own that could be read directly: its news pages return errors, and its public feed carries nothing on this call, its most recent posting being the Lehigh Acres homicide arrest announced last week.
No road closure was announced on Welborn Road or Nalle Grade Road, no order was given to residents, and there was no National Weather Service alert anywhere in Florida overnight, so nothing else was competing for attention on that stretch. The scene work has finished. What remains open is the investigation, and this item will be updated if the Sheriff's Office says more.
