The U.S.-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund approved three commitments spanning minerals and energy, the Treasury Department said Friday.
The first establishes a joint platform with BGV Group Management for early-stage mining projects. Its initial targets are identified rare earths, beryllium and zirconium deposits in Ukraine.
The fund also approved an equity investment in a network of community-scale heat and power hubs. Treasury said the hubs are intended to restore service damaged by the war and supply thousands of households.
The third commitment is debt financing for DTEK's operational battery system across six sites. Its capacity is 200 megawatts and 400 megawatt-hours, which Treasury described as enough to supply electricity equivalent to about 600,000 Ukrainian homes for two hours.
The amounts were not disclosed.
