Ukrainian Railways says a Russian drone struck a passenger locomotive two kilometres from Poland

Ukrainian Railways said a Russian drone struck a passenger locomotive at Yahodyn, two kilometres from the Polish border, after its monitoring team warned the crew and an evacuation left nobody injured.

In a later update, the state-owned operator said the evacuation signal was issued 15 minutes before impact. A diplomatic train carrying security advisers from several European Union member states and former European leaders, including Boris Johnson, had been at Yahodyn shortly beforehand.

Another train carrying David Petraeus was at the station during the attack, the company said. The post does not name the passenger service, quantify damage or give a schedule impact.
