UKMTO says a vessel was struck in the Strait of Hormuz, with crew status and damage unknown

United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations said a vessel was struck by an unknown projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

Warning 134-26 records the report at 2300 UTC on September 12 and labels the source verified. No ship is named. The notice does not identify who fired the projectile or give a location more specific than the strait.

UKMTO said the crew's status, damage assessment and environmental impact were unknown when it issued the warning on September 13. It advised vessels to proceed cautiously and report suspicious activity while authorities investigate.
