Two tanker masters report projectile strikes near Hormuz within 11 hours

United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations received two tanker masters' reports of projectile strikes near the Strait of Hormuz within 11 hours on Friday.
The first warning records an outbound tanker struck by an unknown projectile in the strait at 1122 UTC. The master reported a small fire and blackout. The fire was extinguished, and the vessel was underway.
The second warning records a crude-oil tanker struck on the port side at 2142 UTC, 4 nautical miles east of Oman.
Both crews were reported safe. Neither notice reported an environmental impact.
UKMTO did not name the vessels or identify an attacker. Authorities were investigating.
