OpenAI began a limited rollout of GPT-6 Astra early Thursday and said broader access will reach ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users over the coming days. The model will also come to the OpenAI API, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Bedrock.

Standard API use costs $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens. Fast processing, which OpenAI says can reach twice the standard speed, costs twice the standard rate. Enterprise access is off by default at launch.

The company classifies Astra at the Critical cybersecurity threshold under its Preparedness Framework. OpenAI said the launch version will refuse advanced requests such as creating proof-of-concept exploits. The rollout is not universal yet.
