Die Linke leads Berlin count at 25.7 percent
All 4,114 Berlin reporting areas had been counted by 1:56 a.m. local time, according to the state returning officer's intermediate results.
Die Linke led the second vote with 25.7 percent. The Christian Democratic Union had 18.8 percent, the Alternative for Germany 16.3 percent, the Greens 14.3 percent and the Social Democrats 12.1 percent.
The count is complete.
Turnout was 74.2 percent. The Free Democratic Party stood at 2.5 percent. Parties generally need 5 percent of second votes or a constituency seat to enter the House, though the returning officer still labels this an intermediate result.
