CENTCOM says U.S. forces redirected 92 commercial vessels under Iran blockade

U.S. forces have redirected 92 commercial vessels while enforcing the maritime blockade against Iran, U.S. Central Command said Sunday. The command also reported disabling three vessels and boarding two. Gizem Nisa Demir of Anadolu Agency reported the tally from the official post.

CENTCOM did not identify the redirected or boarded vessels, state when the count began or say how many were carrying oil. That matters. The figure measures enforcement actions, not shipping volume through the Strait of Hormuz, and it cannot be read as a count of ships that stopped trading with Iran.

The tally is the command's account. No independent vessel list accompanied it.
