Analog Devices agrees to buy Alif Semiconductor for $1.35bn
$1.35bn is due at closing.
Analog Devices agreed to buy Alif Semiconductor for that amount in cash, with as much as $200m more tied to milestones, the company said Wednesday. The deal is expected to close before the end of 2026, subject to regulatory clearance and other conditions.
Alif makes low power microcontrollers and fusion processors with integrated artificial intelligence and machine learning acceleration. Its chips are already shipping. Analog says the acquisition will add secure edge processing to its portfolio for industrial, automotive, health care and consumer applications.
The filing does not disclose Alif's revenue or the contingent payment milestones. It also does not say how Analog will finance the purchase.
