Layza Pinero Resto of Gulf Coast News reports that Cape Coral police made an arrest after a man was treated for two gunshot wounds following a shooting outside Mermaid Liquor Bar.

The outlet says officers responded to Cape Coral Hospital on Sunday, September 20. The injured man told police that an unknown man had shot him in the parking lot of the Del Prado Boulevard North bar. Cape Coral police arrested a person in the case on Thursday.

The Lee County charge record lists six counts under circuit-court case 26CF017463. They are aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, missile into a dwelling or vehicle, criminal mischief involving at least $1,000 in property damage, discharging a firearm on public or residential property, and improper exhibition of a firearm or dangerous weapon.

Every charge is an accusation. Nothing in the booking record is a finding that the person arrested committed any of the charged acts.

The county record shows a booking Thursday evening and a release Friday evening after bonds were posted. No active road closure, evacuation or public safety order is attached to the case, so this follow-up is not marked breaking.
