Correction: The News-Press did not establish that a student was injured in the Lehigh Acres school-bus crash
An earlier version of this page incorrectly said a student was taken to a hospital after a vehicle collided with a school bus in Lehigh Acres. The News-Press report says one person was transported and that it was unclear whether that person was a student.

Correction, September 2, 2026, 10:18 p.m. ET. An earlier version of this page incorrectly said a student was taken to a hospital after a vehicle collided with a school bus in Lehigh Acres.
The credited News-Press article by Tomas Rodriguez says one person was transported and that it remained unclear whether that person was a student. The Google News headline that led this desk to the report went further than the article body, and the earlier brief repeated that unsupported claim.
Money & World has withdrawn the student injury statement. No inspectable public primary record from the School District of Lee County, the Lee County Sheriff's Office or another responding authority was available to establish who was transported.

The document: No public filing has been released.
