A boil water advisory remains in effect for 46 Florida Governmental Utility Authority customers near 1402 Graham Circle in Lehigh Acres.
Repairs are complete. FGUA says the eight inch water main break was isolated Sunday, but the precaution remains while samples are tested by an independent laboratory certified by the Florida Department of Health.
What affected customers should do
Bring tap water used for drinking or cooking to a rolling boil for one minute, or use bottled water. FGUA says it will rescind the advisory after an independent laboratory certified by the Florida Department of Health finds the water safe.
The authority said Sunday that it expected a rescission most likely by Wednesday, September 9. Until an update is posted, residents should treat the FGUA notice as active.
