Eight Gerald Avenue customers in Lehigh Acres are scheduled to lose water service Wednesday, October 14, according to the Florida Governmental Utility Authority notice. FGUA identifies affected house numbers as 1402 to 1514.

The work connects a water main for the Alva High School under construction. It covers Joel Boulevard between East 14th and East 16th streets. No shutdown hour is given.

FGUA says it will deliver notices to affected homes. A precautionary boil water notice follows. Until that notice is lifted, the utility directs affected customers to use bottled water or bring water for consumption to a rolling boil for at least one minute. Testing must confirm the water is safe before the advisory ends.
