FGUA says crews isolated and repaired the eight inch water main break Friday. The repair is complete, but the precaution remains active while water samples undergo laboratory testing.
The caution is still active.
What affected customers should do
Bring water used for drinking or cooking to a rolling boil for one minute, or use bottled water instead. FGUA says affected customers will receive a door hanger and a call or text notification.
Anyone in the affected area should keep following the one minute boil instruction until FGUA posts the laboratory all clear, even though the pipe repair itself is finished.
The utility expects laboratory results by Monday, September 21. The advisory remains in effect until FGUA publishes a rescission.
