Lee County sheriff says a second man is charged in Steven Roth's killing
The Lee County Sheriff's Office says Justin Michael Kight is the second man charged in the killing of Steven Roth, whose remains were found near Cypress Lake Drive and U.S. 41. The county booking record lists second-degree murder and evidence-tampering charges.

Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno announced a second arrest in the killing of Steven Roth, Damien Alvarado reports for WINK News.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office booking record names Justin Michael Kight and lists two current charges under case 26CF017336: second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in a criminal proceeding. Both entries record no bond and an October 19 Circuit Court hearing.
The record shows Kight was already in custody under a May booking. It does not establish when the two current charges were added, so this brief does not assign a booking time to Tuesday's announcement.
WINK reports that Marceno identified Roth as the 46-year-old man whose remains were found near Cypress Lake Drive and U.S. 41 earlier this year. The sheriff said investigators believe Kight and Gabriel Leon-Torres were involved in Roth's death and in moving his body. Those are the Sheriff's Office allegations, not findings of guilt.
Money & World covered the first arrest in August. The new charge entries and Marceno's announcement make this a separate development in the same investigation.
Kight and Leon-Torres are accused. Neither man has been convicted in this case. WINK's report does not include a response from Kight, and no lawyer for him is identified in the public booking record. No inference should be drawn from the absence of a response.
