The one-page state warrant recorded by the Collier County Clerk is dated September 10 and was recorded September 17. It identifies the business at 9331 Tamiami Trail North, Suite 14, the same North Naples address listed on Joe's Diner's own website.
What the warrant says
The document lists $34,984.46 in sales and use tax, $3,498.44 in penalty and $2,032.88 in interest. Those amounts total $40,515.78. A further $3,314.38 in fees brings the grand total to $43,830.16.
The Department of Revenue states in the warrant that the named taxpayer is indebted to the state for the delinquent tax and related charges. The clerk classifies the filing as a lien document.
An exact search for Joe's Diner LLC in the clerk's official-records portal returned this warrant and no satisfaction or release. The portal said its records were verified through September 17 when checked Sunday morning.
What the filing does not establish
The warrant is a collection record. It does not say the restaurant has closed, and it does not disclose whether the amount has since been paid outside the recorded document system.
The business's website still lists the North Naples address. Customers should not treat the filing alone as a closure notice.
