Bonita Springs will shift East Terry Street traffic overnight October 6 while keeping the road open
Bonita Springs plans to shift East Terry Street traffic to the road's south side from Imperial Parkway east to Interstate 75 beginning at 7 p.m. October 6. The road will remain open, with flaggers and signs. Work is expected to finish before the October 7 morning commute.
Bonita Springs' construction notice says its contractor will begin shifting East Terry Street traffic at 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 6.
The affected stretch runs from Imperial Parkway east to Interstate 75. Traffic will move to the south side of the roadway so crews can prepare for stormwater, water and wastewater improvements on the north side of the right-of-way.
The city says the road will remain open to through traffic. Crews will place barrels and restripe the roadway overnight, flaggers will direct vehicles and directional signs will be posted along Imperial Parkway and East Terry Street.
Work is expected to finish early Wednesday, October 7, before the morning peak. Drivers will then continue using the shifted alignment while the larger construction project proceeds.
