ALDI will open its Immokalee store September 24, WINK News reporter Mariaregina Mendoza reported.
The opening restores a full-service grocery store in Immokalee for the first time since 2025. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., and normal customer hours will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, WINK reported.
What happens on the September 24 opening day
The first 200 customers will receive a gift bag with ALDI products and a gift card through the retailer's Golden Ticket promotion, according to WINK.
The announced hours begin after the ribbon cutting. The store will then keep the same 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. schedule seven days a week.
How long Immokalee went without a full-service grocery store
WGCU reported in October 2025 that Immokalee's only supermarket, Winn-Dixie, had closed and that the next full-service option was a small Publix eight miles away in Ave Maria.
The ALDI opening comes nearly eleven months after that closure. It gives residents a daily grocery option inside Immokalee again instead of requiring a trip to Ave Maria or a regular-size supermarket farther away.
No public company announcement page accompanies the opening. The September 24 date, hours and opening promotion come from WINK News and its interview with ALDI regional vice president Chris Hewitt.
