World Cup added 2.5 points to Sunbelt rental growth as guidance rose
The World Cup supplied a measurable lift.
Sunbelt Rentals said rental revenue increased 12.5 percent to $2.927bn in its fiscal first quarter, according to Wednesday's results. World Cup activity contributed about 2.5 percentage points of growth, while a recent acquisition added about one point.
North America General Tool rental revenue increased 7.4 percent. Specialty rental revenue rose 25.3 percent.
Sunbelt raised its full-year total-revenue growth range to 6 to 9 percent from 4.5 to 7.5 percent. It also increased its adjusted EBITDA range to $4.92bn to $5.12bn from $4.85bn to $5.05bn.
