Singapore non-oil exports rose 46.2 percent as electronics more than doubled
A 131.8 percent surge in electronics pushed Singapore's non-oil domestic exports up 46.2 percent in August, Enterprise Singapore reported Thursday. Integrated circuits rose 90.9 percent, disk media products 290.2 percent and PCs 237.9 percent.
The base was low. August 2025 had the year's lowest monthly NODX value at S$13.3bn. Non-electronics still grew 12.0 percent, led by specialised machinery, non-monetary gold and medical apparatus.
Total merchandise trade reached S$156.9bn, up 44.5 percent from a year earlier. Exports were S$84.7bn and imports S$72.2bn. The agency said the data is nominal unless otherwise stated and remains subject to revision.
