Sanofi pays Regeneron $1bn upfront and sets $7bn of antibody milestones
Sanofi will pay Regeneron $1bn upfront after the companies added four long-acting antibodies to their collaboration, according to a Form 8-K accepted Tuesday.
The programs target IL-13, IL-4, the IL-4 receptor alpha, and a combination of IL-4 and IL-13. Payments of up to $7bn more depend on development, regulatory and commercial milestones.
Profits will be split equally.
Regeneron will lead development and United States regulatory work. Sanofi will lead commercialization and regulatory work outside the United States. Development costs will generally be shared equally, although Regeneron is responsible for spending above a budget cap, subject to rights to recover some of it later.
The filing also says Regeneron agreed to dismiss its lawsuit over access to information and audit rights tied to Dupixent and other products in the collaboration.
