Seven OPEC+ countries hold October production requirements at September levels
Seven OPEC+ countries will keep October required production at September levels, the group said Sunday. The decision follows a 188,000 barrel-a-day increase set for September.
The target did not move.
OPEC's accompanying table keeps Saudi Arabia at 10.478m barrels a day, Russia at 9.949m and Iraq at 4.431m. The other four participants are Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman.
The release gives no reason for the decision. It reiterates the group's commitment to full conformity with the Declaration of Cooperation, but it does not repeat the August release's sentence promising full compensation for volumes produced above quota since January 2024.
The seven meet again October 4.
