Lennar cuts full-year delivery target as quarterly profit falls 52 percent
Lennar cut its 2026 home-delivery target to 80,000 to 81,000, down from the 82,000 to 83,000 range discussed last quarter. The reduction came with third-quarter results filed Wednesday after the close.
Profit fell 52 percent to $284m, or $1.19 a share, from $591m and $2.29 a share a year earlier. Revenue fell 8.7 percent to $8.05bn. The order book weakened.
New orders declined 9 percent to 20,879 homes. Deliveries fell 3 percent to 20,840, while the home-sale gross margin narrowed to 15.8 percent from 17.5 percent. Lennar attributed the margin decline to lower revenue per square foot and higher land costs, partly offset by lower construction costs.
For the fourth quarter, Lennar projects 22,000 to 23,000 deliveries and a 15.5 to 16 percent gross margin.
