Italian industrial production rose 0.7 percent in July while annual output was flat

Italy's industrial production rose 0.7 percent in July from June after seasonal adjustment, Istat reported Thursday.

Consumer goods increased 2.1 percent, intermediate goods 0.5 percent and capital goods 0.2 percent. Energy output fell 0.9 percent. The three-month average slipped 0.1 percent from February through April.

The annual reading was flat. Capital goods rose 3.0 percent from July 2025, while consumer goods fell 2.7 percent and durable consumer goods dropped 8.9 percent. The figures are provisional.
