India sets 7.86tn rupees of bond sales for the fiscal second half
India will borrow 7.86tn rupees through dated securities in the second half of the 2026-27 fiscal year, including 150bn rupees of sovereign green bonds.
The Finance Ministry's plan puts full-year borrowing through dated securities at 15.995tn rupees. That is about 1.205tn rupees below the February budget estimate.
Sales will run through 23 weekly auctions across eight maturity buckets. Ten-year bonds carry the largest share at 26.3%, followed by 15-year bonds at 17.6%. The government can retain up to 20bn rupees more than the stated amount for each security at an auction.
The Reserve Bank of India set the government's Ways and Means Advances limit at 500bn rupees for the fiscal second half.
