Eurostat lifts euro area second-quarter growth to 0.6 percent
0.2 percentage points. That is the upward revision Eurostat made to euro area growth for the second quarter.
Seasonally adjusted gross domestic product rose 0.6 percent from the first quarter, up from the 0.4 percent flash estimate published in August. European Union growth was revised to 0.7 percent from 0.5 percent.
Net exports added 0.9 percentage points to euro area growth, while inventories subtracted 0.5 points. Household consumption added 0.2 points. Government consumption and fixed investment made negligible contributions.
Employment and hours worked each rose 0.1 percent. Eurostat says the figures may change again with its 20 October database update.
