Euro area industrial output edged down 0.1 percent in July

Euro-area industrial production fell 0.1 percent in July from June after seasonal adjustment, Eurostat reported Wednesday. Output across the wider European Union fell 0.3 percent.
Non-durable consumer goods were the weak spot, down 1.6 percent in the euro area. Energy rose 0.9 percent, durable consumer goods 0.9 percent, capital goods 0.5 percent and intermediate goods 0.3 percent.
The monthly country figures varied widely. Denmark posted the largest decline at 4.2 percent, followed by Bulgaria at 2.9 percent and Lithuania at 2.4 percent. Luxembourg led the increases at 4.5 percent. Compared with July 2025, euro-area production was unchanged and EU production was 0.3 percent higher.
