EchoStar says DISH DBS has emerged from bankruptcy after cutting debt by about $4.35bn
EchoStar's DISH DBS subsidiaries emerged from Chapter 11 on October 1 after reducing aggregate debt by about $4.35bn, according to a Form 8-K accepted at 7:55 a.m. Friday.
The reduction came through the restructuring, full repayment of 7.75 percent senior notes due July 1 and a partial early repayment of 5.25 percent senior secured notes due December 1.
It is back on EchoStar's books. The filing says the DISH DBS entities will be reconsolidated as of October 1, and required financial statements will follow within 71 days.
The filing does not say the separately administered DISH Wireless entities have emerged.
